20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. There have been a few set photos making their way around the internet, but this is the first real glimpse of Jeremy Allen White’s portrayal of “The Boss”.
Adapted from Warren Zanes’ book of the same name, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere focuses on the legendary musician creating his sixth album, 1982’s Nebraska. This was a time when Springsteen was at odds with his studio (Columbia Records), as the suits got nervous at such a quiet, haunting, and bare bones concept record.
Written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), the film also features Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin, Stephen Graham as Bruce’s father, Gabby Hoffman and his mother, Johnny Cannizzaro as Stevie Van Zandt, Paul Walter Hauser as Mike Batlan, and David Krumholtz as Columbia Records executive Al Teller.
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is highly anticipated by Springsteen fans and music biopic aficionados alike and will receive its wide theatrical release on October 24 of this year.
The film is produced by Scott Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson and Scott Stuber. Tracey Landon, Jon Vein and Zanes are credited as executive producers.
