“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” final trailer is here. Online ticket sales, which have already exceeded Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” are also available, as is the final poster artwork, evoking a classic look and feel to the final entry in the ‘Skywalker Saga.’

Premiering on Monday Night Football, the final trailer for Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” trailer dropped online. Excitement on social media is high as JJ Abrams brings the ‘Skywalker Saga’ to a conclusion this December. Ticket sales opened at 5 pm PDT this afternoon and though we haven’t heard of any ticketing servers crashing, the buzz for finding the right seat in the right theater was the topic of the day.

Lots of questions, lots of excitement and even a bit of sadness as Carrie Fisher graces the screen one final time in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” through footage from Abrams’ own “The Force Awakens” and Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

The “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” cast led by Fisher also features Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO. Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Joonas Suotamo and Kelly Marie Tran also return.

Ian McDiarmid, who made his first appearance in 1983’s “Return of the Jedi” returns as Palpatine. Billy Dee Williams returns as Lando Calrissian, whose last appearance was also on “Return of the Jedi,” marking the longest amount of time between portrayals of a character by the same actor in American film history.

JJ Abrams, who co-wrote the screenplay witih Chris Terrio, consulted George Lucas prompting a script rewrite. Something tells us that, no matter how the film ends when it releases on December 20, it is going to be as faithful to how Lucas would have finished the saga had he not sold the rights to Disney.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is directed by JJ Abrams and produced through his Bad Robot Productions company and Lucasfilm prexy Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejwan, Lucasfilm SVP of Live Action Development and Production. Ms. Rejwan previously produced “Super 8,” “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
