Season 2 of Netflix’s popular show, Wednesday, is coming soon. The Halloween season gets an exciting two month jumpstart with this unique and gothically entertaining hit series. The first episode premiering on the streaming service August 6th and the second hitting September 3rd.
For the new season, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) returns to Nevermore Academy, reuniting with roomie Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and navigating the horror-tinged mayhem that awaits.
Netflix describes this season as, “Wednesday Addams’ years as a student, when she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree, and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents.”
Ortega (a producer this season) and Myers are joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordoñez (Pugsley Addams), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, a character who may be getting his own spinoff from Netflix and MGM Television.
Zeta-Jones, Guzmán, Ordoñez have graduated to series regulars.
Tim Burton returns as director along with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson.
Co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are this season’s showrunners as well as executive producing. Burton, Ortega, Natalie Testa, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman and Meredith Averill all serve as executive producers for season two.
